Marty Bub | Owner & Agent

Marty Bub is one of the founding partners of Community Brokers Insurance Group. After obtaining a degree from Fontbonne University, Marty spent the beginning of his career in sales and transitioned into the insurance industry in 2006. Wanting to expand the options of what they could provide to their customers, Marty and his partners sought out to establish an independent agency that could represent several companies while serving the unique needs of their clients.

Marty is licensed in Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas, and has over 17 years of experience providing insurance to individuals, families, and businesses. He also specializes in Life, Business (Workman’s Comp, Commercial Auto, Liability, & Property), and Personal Insurance (Auto, Home, Renters, etc.).

Marty knows first-hand what it feels like to have the responsibility of important things in his life that he needs to protect. As a Husband and Dad to three girls, he understands how it can make all of the difference in the world to have good policies and the right coverage for your family. At the heart of that is having a great relationship with an insurance agent who can understand the needs of you and your family and help you find the right policies to protect what is precious to you. Marty is a life-long resident of the Metro-East and resides in Glen Carbon with his wife and three daughters.

Darrin Compton | Owner & Agent

Darrin Compton serves as an owner and agent at Community Brokers Insurance Group. After years as a mortgage broker, Darrin seamlessly transitioned to insurance in 2008. However, you could say that helping people has always been in his blood, as his father has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years. In fact, Darrin takes pride in knowing that he’s carrying on a tradition of excellent communication and customer service with his clients.

As a finance graduate of Columbia College, Darrin studiously approached his work, always looking for the best ways to help our customers keep the important things protected, while maybe paying a little less. He has lived in the Midwest his entire life, and he understands the challenges faced by home and business owners in this area, using that insight to provide thoughtful policy and coverage options. He knows insurance is a highly personal business, and he’s focused on making sure the policy, coverage, and provider completely fit your needs.

As a parent to three young sons and a business owner, Darrin is no stranger to all the little thoughts and worries that keep you up at night. Whether it is wondering if you’re covered in case of a fire or worrying about liability issues with your business, know that he’s going to come up with a solution that can help you rest a little easier. Darrin takes an active role in the community as the Athletic Director of St. John Neuman Catholic School and as a youth baseball and soccer coach for his kids’ teams.

Diane Morris | CISR

Diane Morris is a licensed agent and Commercial Lines Specialist in our Fairview Heights office. Diane became licensed in 2003 and received her CISR designation in 2005. She is focused primarily on commercial accounts, however, is knowledgeable in all property and casualty. Diane takes care of her customers like they’re her family and prides herself in her commitment to customer service. Diane is married and has 2 children and 2 granddaughters. She loves to spend time with family and friends, especially when it involves camping and all outdoor activities. She is an active member of the Fairview Heights Elks Lodge 664 as well as the Swansea Moose International Lodge 1221. She does a lot for her community through both organizations.

Joanne “JO” Rapp | CISR

Jo is a licensed agent and Personal Lines Specialist. Jo grew up in Fairview Heights and after 40+ years of living throughout the US and working in the Insurance industry, she moved back home and in 2003 came to Klein-Merwin-Karrer & Associates as a CSR and Producer for all Property and Casualty Products, and attained her CISR Designation in 2004. In 2021 with the acquisition of KMK Insurance by Community Brokers she started another new phase of her insurance career.

Her years of insurance experience in corporate management, independent agency service, and the claims domain have given Jo a well-rounded ability and desire to serve our clients with the best options for protecting their families, possessions, and future with quality insurance products and responses to their individual needs.

As a widowed parent of a blended family with 5 adult children and their spouses, 13 Grandchildren, and one on the way, Jo enjoys spending time with them whenever possible. Being outdoors, working in the garden and tending to her fish pond, and driving her collector vehicles. There’s always time to lend a hand to friends and the Fairview Heights Community.

Ashley Harris | Office Manager

Ashley Harris is a licensed agent and the Office Manager at our Glen Carbon location. She brings many years of customer service experience as well as becoming a licensed Agent in 2018. Ashley is licensed in both Illinois and Missouri and also holds life and health insurance credentials. She dedicates her time to making sure each client is satisfied with their services and offers her guidance along the way. She understands the importance of not only having adequate coverage but great service to boot. Ashley is a life-long resident of the Metro East and currently resides in Highland, IL. Outside of the office Ashley enjoys many outdoor activities and spending time with her friends and family.
